For Mamas- Olive and June
Recently I told my husband that I would really like to look forward to one evening a week where I take 1-2 hours to do something fun or relaxing. Sort of a mama Sabbath. Mentally knowing I have a little time set apart to read, paint my nails, work on a craft, take a bath, do something relaxing, is encouraging and helps me to prepare and actually make said plans happen.
I recently purchased my first manicure set/kit from a company called Olive and June. As a STAH mama to two littles, having my nails done really gives me a boost in feeling a bit more “put together” even if I’m at home and wearing workout clothes many days. I think just looking at my hands while I’m on my phone nursing, and the tasks that homemaking and homeschooling require, working with your hands a lot, means I’m constantly seeing my nails, and having them well manicured has surprisingly cheered me up a little bit. But God has designed us to create and told us to think about lovely things (Philippians 4:8 ESV), so that shouldn’t surprise me!

I have been soooo impressed with this system. They include a QR Code to a video that walks you step-by-step through how to use the tools in the kit to give a manicure, and as a mama who feels like she washes her hands a lot, I cannot believe how long it has stayed on and not really chipped. I’ve made it about a full week with it looking nice, and usually my nail polish chips within a day or so. The nail polish remover pot works so well, and the lid allows you to take polish off your toes without touching the remover!! So ideally, you can give yourself a pedicure, and not wreck your painted nails!

(These were my nails on a Monday and I painted them on a Wednesday!)
I purchased my kit while a 30% promotion was going on, so you can check for that online. If you can’t find it, you can always use my referral code here for 20% off**. If you give them a try I hope you like them too!
