Whether you are brand new to the faith, or have been walking with the Lord for some time, reading a children's Bible with your kids is such a great way to familiarize yourself with the stories of Scripture and to see the Bible as one large story all connected. While reading straight from actual Scripture in an adult Bible is a wonderful way to immerse your child in Scripture, often families start with a children's Bible to present the material in a fun, bright, visual, easy to understand style that uses words and pictures they can easily recognize.

This is our second year going through this children's Bible and we love it. Not all children's Bibles are created equal, so I am selective when I choose one to read with our kids. I plan to share a post soon You can read my post, about what criteria I use when selecting a Bible to read with our kids. You can get your copy of The Beginner's Bible here on Amazon, and pick up a copy of my Children's Bible Reading Plan when it drops next week, to join us as we read through the whole thing this school year.

My Bible reading plan is designed with weekly stories organized so that you will read through the whole Bible between August and April. Start with us the week of August 2nd, 2026, and the schedule will align with Christmas and Easter!

Each week will also include a scripture memory verse, and a link to a song to sing and listen to together.

You can use this reading plan like us, as a homeschool Bible curriculum for your little ones, or simple use it as part of your family devotional time together. Next week I will share how we use the reading plan and how you can include older children as well.

If you’re not already, make sure to subscribe to my emails so you don't miss it! And don't forget to pick up your copy of The Beginner's Bible so you can join us!
